The White Lion Public House, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

This building was constructed sometime in the 18th century and has been an ale house since 1781. Between 1877 and 1884 the front of the building was brought forward to the road. This public house illustrates the development from an 18th century beerhouse to a pub-cum-hotel in the early 20th century.
