Burradon Tower, Longbenton, Tyne and Wear

The remains of Burradon Tower, a three storey tower house. The tower is believed to have been built in the 16th century, Bertram Anderson ('of Burradon', 1553) may be identified as the builder. It was still occupied in the 17th century, but is depicted as ruins on Armstrong's tithe map of 1769.
