This unique yet unfinished Neo-Gothic mansion, listed as Grade I, was built between 1857 and 1867. The incomplete state of the mansion offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness how the house was constructed and gain insights into its architectural development.

Opening Arrangements

Open 11am - 5pm every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays from Friday 4th April to Sunday 2nd November 2025 Last admission to house 4pm.

On open days minibus service from car park every hour on the hour (and return at twenty to the hour) last run at 4:40pm. The bus service is also subject to volunteer availability.
