Wheal Martyn is unique, as the UK's only china clay museum. The museum tells the story of Cornwall’s largest mining industry, which shaped the lives of the people, the economy, and the landscape of the local area. The museum is set within two Victorian china clay works, one of which is a Scheduled Monument, and holds an extensive collection and archive of objects and images relating to the industry.
