Knebworth House, listed at Grade II*, originated in the 16th century but is renowned for its extraordinary Gothic-style remodelling and embellishments in the 19th century. This was completed under the guidance of the then-owner, Edward Bulwer-Lytton, who was not only a prominent social figure but also a successful novelist in the Gothic, Horror, and Occult genres.
Opening Arrangements
Knebworth House, Park, Gardens, Adventure Playground, Dinosaur Trail, Watchman’s Tower and Exhibition will be open on the following dates and times. Opening Days 22nd - 30th March (Open Weekends) 5th - 21st April (Open Daily) 26th April - 18th May (Open Weekends and Bank Holidays) 24th May - 1st June (Open Daily) 7th - 29th June (Open Weekends) 5th July - 7th September (Open Daily) 13th - 28th September (Open Weekends) Please note the Watchtower closes during rain showers or high winds. Opening Hours House, Watchtower, Exhibitions: 11.30am - 5pm Park, Gardens, Playground and Dinosaur Trail: 10.30am - 5pm.
