This Grade II*-listed former cinema has a 970-seat auditorium with bars, a café and restaurant, and two commercial units. It was built in 1930 and designed by architect Cecil Aubrey Masey and interior designer Theodore Komisarjevsky. It is now a rare surviving example of elaborate and decorative cinema architecture from the industry’s heyday.
Opening Arrangements
The Foyer and Upper Cross Hall will be open for general access most weekdays from 2nd May 2025. Please refer to the website for specific times and details. The Ziggurat Bar and Auditorium is only accessible to invited - ticketed audiences from programme launch on 2nd May 2025. Dates and time of tours and special events will be published on the website.
