This chest tomb is surmounted by an elaborate monument. It was erected by the executors of William Squire and is dated 1781. The monument is surrounded by a spiked railing and is approximately 6 metres tall.

Opening Arrangements

The Squires Monument is available to view at all times. St James church is open every Sunday morning from 10.30am to 12..00 noon; Wednesday mornings from 9.00am to 11.30am; it is open on the 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings from 10.00 t0 12.30pm.
