The ruined chapel of St James, dating from the early 12th to 15th centuries, features remains of the original nave, chancel, and north chantry. Notable elements include a blocked 14th-century north arcade, 12th-century shafts, a 15th-century window, and a south doorway with zigzag decoration. It once served as a chapel for the Stanhope and Holles families.
