Penyard Castle, Penyard Park, Weston-under-Penyard, Ross-on-Wye HR9 7QA
The ruins scheduled as Penyard Castle are situated 1.5 miles south-east of Ross-on-Wye and are located across land managed by the Forestry Commission and land in private ownership. The ruins date back to the 14th century as a castle, which was believed to have been destroyed in the late 17th century. The ruins of the only surviving building are thought to be Medieval in part, possibly a part of the original castle's domestic ranges.
Opening Arrangements
The Woods are managed under CROW with open access on foot in daylight hours.
