Ilchester Roman Cemetary is a two-acre plot of land featuring a variety of trees and shrubs. It is believed to house approximately 1,500 lead and stone coffins underground, though archaeology remains hidden from view. Stone walls mark most of the the boundaries of this site.

Opening Arrangements

Guided visits available. Meet at the Ilchester Museum (within the Town Hall building) on the last Wednesday of every month from the end of April 2025, to the end of October 2025, at 12:30 pm.
