Delapre Abbey is a 900-year-old former nunnery on the edge of Northampton Town Centre but within easy access of the M1 and other major road networks. Once featured on the Heritage at Risk Register, the Abbey has now been partially restored. The Orangery café and Billiard Room serve breakfast, lunches, and afternoon teas 7 days a week, and there is a shop, a community learning space, and facilities for weddings, events, meetings and functions.

Opening Arrangements

The ground of the Abbey are open 24-7 with access to the Walled Garden operating between the hours of 10:00 and 14:00 7 days a week. Alongside this the Orangery is open 7 days a week 09:30 to 17:00, the Billiard Room is open Thursday to Saturday 18:00 to 23:00. General Admission outside of Group Bookings operates on a Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday 10:00 to 15:00, with use of the site for events, meetings and group bookings available across seven days a week.

The parkland is accessible on foot 24 hours a day. Vehicular access is restricted between 9pm and 6am.
