White Hart Inn, Fyfield, Oxfordshire

This pub was originally built as almshouses for the poor. In his will of 1442 Sir John Golafre left money for the foundation of the House or Hospital of St. John the Baptist. This hospital was meant to look after 5 poor men and a priest. In 1580 it passed to St. John's College, Oxford.
