St Thomas A Becket's Chapel, Luffield Abbey, Buckinghamshire

A thatched cottage, formerly a chapel, at Chapel Green. This building was on the site of what is now Silverstone Racing Circuit. Foundations for Luffied chapel still exist in the hedgerows near to "chapel" corner of the circuit. Luffield Abbey is one of the few examples in the country where there is an ancient parish with no church at its centre. The photograph was taken for the Victoria County History project.
