Sevenoaks School, High Street, Sevenoaks, Kent

The school building and the almshouses attached date from the early 18th century. The school was founded in 1432 by William Sevenoke as a part of his last will and testament. It was intended to give a classical education to boys from the town and was unusual in that it was not connected to any church.
