Queen Elizabeth's Hospital, Berkeley Place, Bristol

Queen Elizabeth's Hospital was founded by the will of a rich merchant, John Carr, in 1586. It was a school for orphans and destitute children in Bristol. The school moved to this building in 1847. It has 560 boys and is now Bristol's only all-boys school. It is known traditionally as "The City School".
