Phosphate rock silo No 15, Billingham, Stockton on Tees

This silo was designed by Monnoyer British Construction Ltd. It was for storing phosphate rock that was imported to make fertilizer. The curved shape meant more could be stored in this silo than in any other. It is the earliest surviving example of this type of silo in England.
