Monkwearmouth Museum of Land Transport, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

This building used to be Monkwearmouth Railway. The main building and screen walls were built in 1848 as a branch terminus of the Brandling Junction Railway for the York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway Co. A footbridge and a passenger waiting room were added when the line was extended in 1879. The station closed in 1981 and it is now the Monkwearmouth Museum of Land Transport.
