Medieval arch, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

This medieval arch is under a cliff near the south-east corner of Mowbray Park and dates from the 14th century. It is originally thought to have come from Bishopwearmouth Rectory (Church of St Michael) which was demolished in the 19th century. Although much of the arch is now buried old photographs show the whole arch on this site.
