Market House, South Street, Great Torrington, Devon

The Market House is dated 1842. It is built in classical style with a stucco front and a pediment. The front of the building faces the end of High Street. Behind this building there is a central cobbled lane flanked by market stalls. It is known as the Pannier Market. Most of the stalls have been re-fronted, but some are open and still have their cast-iron Doric supports.
