Ipswich Museum, High Street, Ipswich, Suffolk

The Ipswich museum was founded in 1846 and opened in December 1847 with the specific aim to educate the working classes in natural history. It moved to this building in 1881 as the collections and uses of the museum had so far expanded that it needed bigger premises.
