Holy Trinity Cathedral, Gloucester, Gloucestershire
The Cathedral was formerly the church of the Benedictine Abbey of St Peter. It stood on or near the site of a monastery founded by Osric around 681. After the dissolution of the monastery the church was refounded in 1541 as a secular cathedral. The present building includes major portions of the Romanesque church built in 1089-1100 for Abbot Serlo.
