Edwins Hall, Woodham Ferrers, Essex

The hall is the remaining part of a much larger late 16th century moated house. This moated house was said to have been built by Edwin Sandy, the Archbishop of York (1517 - 1588). His wife lived after his death. Though most of the house was re-built in the 19th century, there is still some of the original panelling in the house and most of the moat remains.
