East Pylon, London Road, Brighton, Brighton and Hove

One of 2 pylons or entrance towers erected on either side of the A23 in 1928 to mark the extension of the County Borough of Brighton. The long sides carry inscriptions and emblems of Brighton and the County of Sussex. Both pylons have seats next to them.
