Barratt Shoe Factory, Northampton, Northamptonshire
The Barratt boot and shoe company was established in 1903 and had this neo-baroque factory built for them in 1913. It was designed by MacVicar Anderson. Design takes an equal place with practicality in this factory, although the style was somewhat out of fashion by the early 20th century.
