Barley Hall, Coffee Yard, York
This building was built in the 13th century. It was probably a Prebendal Hospice. This was a lodging house for travellers run by a religious order/church. Restoration was carried out in c1990 by the York Archaeological Trust. Much of the building was taken down and a complete restoration of the medieval and late medieval remains was carried out.
