An album of 55 pages containing 57 black and white photographic prints from at least four photographic jobs showing excavations of the Roman fort, causeways, ditches, a medieval hearth, gatehouse and dam and a Norman basinet. The prints all date from 1936-37 and show archaeological work. Nearly all the prints are duplicates of others found in albums AL0853 and AL0854. As far as possible these cross references have been noted. Some of the replicas have different dimensions form one another but are otherwise identical, others are very similar to prints in other albums.
