Description

An album containing fifty-five photographic prints of the Roman mosaic pavement found at Downton in Wiltshire. The photographs, taken by the Ministry of Works, date from May 1955 to November 1957. They document the excavation of the pavement, its removal, and its relocation at Salisbury Museum.
