Robert Taylor was an Architectural Surveyor who worked for the RCHME in Cambridge. The collection comprises his working notebooks, covering the period 1962 - 1992, containing notes on architectural investigations in Cambridgeshire. One notebook is entitled 'Small houses of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries in Cambridgeshire - an essay in clasification' and contains brief notes on the subject. The collection also contains a notebook on Gothic Mouldings by Peter Eden compiled between 1951-1953 and 2 notebooks by S.D.T Spittle (Hon. Secretary to the Royal Archaeological Institute) from 1954. Notebooks 2 and 8 are missing from the main sequence of notebooks.
