Description

The original plan is dated 1931 but the annotations are undated An old, torn, plan of the castle has been copied by a photomechanical process. It is annotated in pencil with the names of the different parts of the castle and shaded to show areas where the facework of the wall is complete. Facework areas are indicated by lines and shading while the line of the remainder of the (incomplete) walls is shown by dashed lines.

On the plan the naming of Diate Hill Tower (here known as Devils Tower) and Rosamunds Tower have been transposed. This transposition took place sometime in the eighteenth century but is corrected in modern guidebooks and throughout the album.
