A leather-bound album of twenty black and white prints taken by John F White of 64 Rushey Gardens, London, and showing the Lewisham Engineering Company works at 9 – 11 Malyons Road. The photographs, taken in 1952, are mostly interior views of the company’s workshops and show employees operating a variety of machinery. There are additionally two exterior views of the site as it appeared from the road, and two images showing employees posed for the camera.
The Lewisham Engineering Company are listed in the 1957 and 1963 Kelly’s Directories as ‘packing machine makers’ and the site has since been demolished.
The photographs in the album were taken by John F. White of Rushey Green, London.
The album was acquired by the NMR in 2008.
